From an early age, Michael was exposed to a broad spectrum of music & artists, and he became passionate about it all, no matter the genre. After graduating from Greenville College with a B.S. in Audio Engineering, he returned to New York to intern at several studios—including the world famous "Magic Shop" in lower Manhattan—to learn the art of recording. During his three years as an engineer at the “Shop”, he was able to both observe and assist on sessions for a number of famous artists, including David Bowie, The Foo Fighters, Blondie, Sean Lennon, She & Him, and Jennifer Hudson, to name a few.
In addition to his knowledge and experience, Michael brings a number of other tools vital to making your music reach its full potential. While passion and professionalism are paramount in bringing a project to its completion, his possession of musicality, creativity and ability to write/construct songs will help give your project exactly what it needs.
There is no project too big or small for Michael. He will work with you on one song, an EP, or a complete album, giving your project the attention it deserves. It can be done in person at his studio, or through sharing files via the internet— so distance is no issue.
Through his connections, he has access to any additional musicians necessary to give each song the feel that it needs. He has learned to always be respectful of the writer/performer, understanding the ultra-personal nature attached to writing, recording and performing music.
Michael is available for consultation to discuss ideas for your upcoming project, or to help you with a current one.
He looks forward to working with you.
